Capper's Frames & Prints was started by Richard Capper in San Francisco in 1965. After a successful 7 year run, Richard retired and moved to Eugene. Twenty three years later, Richard decided to reopen the business in Eugene.
Located in the historic Dunham Oldsmobile dealership, Capper's Frames & Prints opened in the summer of 1986. Richard’s son Rio worked by his side part time in the frame store throughout his schooling. After graduating from the University of Oregon, Rio began working full time at the frame shop. After working full time for seven years, Rio took over the helm of the frame store in February after Richards unexpected passing.
